Potters Resorts Five Lakes is the UKs newest all-inclusive holiday resort. Set in 320 acres of parkland near Colchester, Essex Five Lakes is the newest edition of the Potters Resorts Family. Five Lakes breaks feature entertainment and activities specifically designed with adults in mind. Enjoy peace and quiet in the Village rooms set in the grounds or choose the Hotel rooms surrounding the central facilities.

Every break at Potters Resorts Five Lakes is full board which means four meals on each full day, each offering a wide selection to suit every appetite. From evening dinner on Monday through to breakfast on Friday. Enjoy a wide selection of popular branded beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, as well as hot beverages including cappuccinos, coffees, lattes, hot chocolate and more.
Drinks are included from 3pm on arrival day and from 8.30am every day, until close of bars, and up to 10.30am on your departure day.
We even include a couple of excursions to explore the local area if you fancy a change of scenery!
Day 1
We depart from our local pickup points in Leeds and enjoy the scenic journey down to Essex, with comfort stops along the way.
Day 2
Following breakfast we travel the short distance to Tiptree Jam. Nestled in the picturesque village of Tiptree, Essex, the Tiptree Jam Museum is known for producing some of the finest jams, marmalades, and preserves in the UK, the museum is a charming destination that brings to life the history, heritage, and craftsmanship behind the iconic Tiptree brand. The museum has a well-stocked shop where you can purchase your favourites to take home. The shop also sells a range of other goodies, including chutneys, honey, marmalades, spirits and even Tiptree-branded gifts and souvenirs. We return to five lakes for lunch and to enjoy the afternoon & evening entertainment.
Day 3
A day at leisure to relax at Five Lakes, maybe join in with some crafts, virtual reality, have a swim, enjoy some games in the sports hall or join in with the many quizzes going on during the day! There is also lots going on outside in the summer months from the outdoor stage to the boating lake, archery, air rifle shooting, tennis, disc golf and rally karts.
Day 4
Following breakfast we take a short drive to Maldon, a charming market town located on the River Blackwater. Known for its picturesque waterfront and historic buildings. Maldon is famous for its Maldon Sea Salt and the Hythe Quay, with its collection of traditional Thames barges. A great place to stretch your legs with a lovely riverside walk.
Day 5
We enjoy our last breakfast at Five Lakes before commecing our journey back to Leeds. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic journey north, with a break on the way we hope to arrive in the local area early evening.
Our Accommodation at Five Lakes
Potters Resort in Essex offers a choice of Village rooms set a short distance from the Resort in peaceful surroundings, or Hotel rooms that surround the central facilities for added convenience.
With twins and doubles available, Five Lakes is great for couples and friends looking to enjoy a relaxing getaway. While single accommodation is not available, a limted number of rooms can be made available to single guests with a supplement.
All rooms offer an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, tea and coffee making facilities, bathroom towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, drinks cooler and free Wi-Fi.
The resort at Five Lakes is accessible with most of the main facilities located on the ground floor or near a lift,
Ground and 1st floor rooms are available in the Village, which is located a short distance (80-220m) from the main building and are situated in a quiet location on resort. All Hotel rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the main building and are closer to the central facilities, these can be accessed via stairs or lift.
The hotel does features a small number of accessible rooms with lowered baths and handrails, as well as evacuation chairs in the event of an emergency.
