We have our first night at the 4 Star Trim Castle Hotel in Trim - renowned as one of Ireland's most beautiful towns.Our next 4 nights are at the wounderful 4 star Castlecourt Hotel in Westport and our final night heading back to the ferry is at the lovely 3 star Hamlet Court Hotel in Johnstownbridge.

Our main base is picturesque Westport on Irelands West Coast on the edge of Clew Bay. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, Westport is a town on the edge of an Atlantic inlet. In the Georgian town centre, stone bridges link the tree-lined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River, it is one of Ireland’s most charming destinations—where Georgian streets, lively pubs, and colorful shopfronts meet the wild beauty of the west. Rich in history, with nearby Westport House and deep cultural roots, the town offers a vibrant blend of traditional music, warm hospitality, and fresh, locally sourced cuisine. Whether you're seeking relaxation, heritage, or excitement, Westport delivers it all with a warm welcome and stunning views.

Trim is a small but welcoming town, with traditional pubs, cozy cafés, and local shops lining its streets. It retains a popular destination for day-trippers from Dublin or travelers exploring Ireland’s Ancient East.

The highlight of the town is undoubtedly Trim Castle, a massive 12th-century fortress built by Hugh de Lacy. Its unique design features a large, cruciform-shaped keep surrounded by curtain walls and a moat. It also gained international fame as a filming location for Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.

A day excursion around Magical Mayo, Achill Island and the scenic Atlantic Way.
A scenic drive to Connemara, visiting Kylemore Abbey – a neo-gothic castle mirrored in its own lake.
A picturesque cruise on the sheltered waters of Killary Harbour a stunning fjord in the west of Ireland in the heart of Connemara.

Sunday

Following our local departures we make our way to Holyhead for the 14.10 ferry. We check in to The Trim Castle Hotel and relax following our evening meal.

Monday

Today we have a leisurely breakfast & enjoy some free time in Trim before making our way to Westport. We arrive at the Castlecourt Hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.

Tuesday

We enjoy a wonderfully scenic journey this morning to Kylemore Abbey, which has been home to a Benedictine order of Nuns for the past 100 years.You will have free time to explore and have a snack before we make our way to Killary Harbour, where we enjoy a 90 minute cruise through the spectacular scenery of Killary Fjord, Irelands only Glacial Fjord

Wednesday

A day at leisure to relax & explore Westport

Thursday

Today we enjoy a scenic drive to Achill, Irelands largest Island. We travel along the famous circular Atlantic Drive and enjoy breath taking scenery with photo stops along the way!

Friday

We say a sad goodbye to Westport this morning and travel to our next overnight the lovely 3 star Hamlet Court Hotel in Johnstownbridge.

Saturday

We make our way back to Dublin to meet the 15:15 ferry.arriving in Holyhead at 18::30 to commence our journey back to Leeds.
