Strawberry Field & Liverpool

Strawberry Field is a very special place where nostalgia, music, and a vision for a better world bloom. Our visit begins with a multimedia exhibition that immerses you in the intertwined histories of Strawberry Field, The Salvation Army, and John Lennon’s childhood. Utilising archival footage, photographs, and timelines, the exhibition explores the site's evolution from a Victorian house to a children's home, and its influence on John Lennon. The exhibition includes the original piano used by John Lennon to compose “Imagine,” generously lent by the estate of the late George Michael, and an early handwritten draft of the “Strawberry Fields Forever” lyrics.

After the exhibition, you can stroll through the tranquil gardens where John Lennon once played, you will see original red gates and the new Strawberry Field Bandstand, inspired by the "Sgt. Pepper's" drum. The garden is also currently home to the Ukraine peace monument gifted to the Ukraine during Eurovison.Whether you're a Beatles enthusiast, a history buff, or someone seeking a peaceful retreat, Strawberry Field offers a meaningful and enriching experience.
