Renishaw Hall & Gardens with Hall Tour & Lunch

Following on from our fabulous mystery visit last year we return to enjoy a tour of the Hall, enjoy the wonderful peaceful gardens and a delicious light lunch at this lovely Hall in Derbyshire.

Renishaw Hall, nestled in the heart of Derbyshire near Chesterfield, is a Grade I listed country house that has been the home of the Sitwell family for nearly 400 years.

Built in 1625 by George Sitwell, the hall underwent significant transformations in the 18th and early 20th centuries. Renishaw Hall & Gardens offers a perfect blend of history, nature, and culinary delights, making it an ideal destination for a day trip for us!

You will have time to wander around the stunning award-winning Italianate Gardens, designed by Sir George Sitwell in 1885. The gardens feature over 20 distinct areas, including yew hedges, ornamental ponds, and the National Collection of Yuccas. There is also a small Museum located in the Stable Courtyard if you would like to learn more about the Sitwell family.

You will be free to explore as we arrive at Renishaw. Our lunch of Quiche, chips & side salad (suitable for vegetarians) is planned for 12.30pm, we then meet at 2.00pm to enjoy a Hall Tour which will take approximately 1 hour and provides insight into the Sitwell family's rich history and the Hall's architectural splendor.

We depart at 4pm to commence our journey home.
