The Battle Proms at Burghley House is a spectacular open-air summer concert blending classical music, historic pageantry, and dramatic entertainment in a stunning Elizabethan setting. Guests enjoy a full orchestral performance featuring patriotic favourites like Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory, accompanied by cavalry displays, live cannon fire, and a Spitfire flypast. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks finale, all set against the backdrop of Burghleys grand parkland. With, live music, and a festive atmosphere, its a unique and unforgettable celebration of British heritage and summer tradition.
The Battle Proms Concerts are the longest running picnic proms series in the UK, attracting around 40,000 visitors per year since the first concert in 1997.

· Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and Beethoven's 'Battle Symphony' with over 200 live cannon shots, musket fire and fireworks!
· The classic 'last night of the proms' finale, with Jerusalem, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory ..Flags at the ready!
· The perfect summer evening closes with magnificent musical firework displays.
We enjoy the performance on reserved tables & chairs and include a lovely picnic 'High Tea' afternoon tea from the wonderful Nigellas in Morley.
We include overnight Bed & Breakfast accommodation at the Peterborough Marriot Hotel, free time in Stamford and entrance to Belvoir Castle Gardens & Flower Show.

Day 1 Saturday
Following our local departures we travel to Stamford for free time & a chance to grab some lunch. Stamford is a picturesque market town often described as one of the finest stone towns in England. With its cobbled streets, Georgian architecture, and medieval churches, Stamford has a historic charm that feels like stepping back in time. You'll find independent boutiques, antique shops, and cozy pubs, ideal for a stop for a couple of hours. We then carry on our journey to our overnight hotel, The Peterborough Marriott, to check in & freshen up before we head to Burghley House. We depart at 4.30pm to travel to Burghley ready to enjoy our Battle Proms! We enjoy a delicious picnic 'High Tea' afternoon tea from Nigellas in Morley on our reserved tables & chairs - no bringing deckchairs with us! Although it is an open air concert so you may wish to bring a blanket! The concert is due to end around 10.30pm when we make the short journey back to our hotel.
Day 2 Sunday
We have a nice relaxed departure of 10am this morning following breakfast and make our way to Belvoir Castle for the 2025 Flower and Garden Show. Nestled in the breathtaking grounds of Belvoir Castle, the 2025 Flower and Garden Show is shaping up to be the biggest and most exciting event yet! Marvel at the creativity of talented designers and explore stunning garden showcases that will ignite your imagination, learn from leading horticultural and floral experts through engaging talks and demonstrations & treat your taste buds to a wide variety of mouthwatering food and drink options. We depart around 3.30pm to commence our journey back to Leeds.
